2043 S Lamar Blvd. Australian specialty café, 5 min from Airbnb. Excellent pour-overs and brunch plates. Good space for Ellen.
12233 Ranch Rd 620 N (25 min north). Pre-ordered online — pickup TBD, eating together with family.

1203 E 11th St. Austin's beloved all-day brunch spot. Rooftop patio, craft cocktails, local SuperThing coffee. Reservation at 9:15.
Head to Desnudo before the taco hopping begins — closes 2:30 PM. 3 Austin locations (Downtown / East / South Lamar).
Pick 1–2 tacos per place and hop between all three. All close together in East Austin.
Walk off the tacos on Austin's most iconic street. Cowboy boots, vintage shops, local boutiques. Great stroll with Ellen.
2406 Manor Rd — literally in our neighborhood (Cherrywood)! Reservation for 4, can expand if family joins. Farm-to-table wild game, everything sourced in Texas. Menu changes nightly.
1003 Barton Springs Rd — right next to Zilker Park. 4th-generation pitmasters from Lockhart. Opens 10:30 AM daily, no long wait. Michelin Plate 2024 & 2025. Post-oak smoked meats.
Walk off the BBQ at Austin's favorite park right next door. Natural spring-fed Barton Springs Pool is 68°F year-round — perfect for a warm June afternoon.
1201 S Lamar Blvd. Farm-to-table New American, 4.7★ (3,600+ reviews). A BBQ break — seasonal, creative, delicious. Reservation at 6:30.
